George Clooney’s transformation from ‘arm candy’ to ‘trendsetter.’

Women around the world fell more deeply in love with George Clooney (if that is even possible..) when he, in his acceptance speech for the Cecil B. DeMille lifetime achievement award at the Golden Globes this year, said to his wife, human rights lawyer, Amal Clooney;

“I couldn’t be more proud to be your husband.”

The pride George expressed for his very successful and brainy wife gave a boost to current gender equality initiatives. George Clooney’s behavior brings us one step closer to equal opportunities for both genders.

But what I really, really liked was that he strongly signaled to the world:

“My ego is not threatened by brainy women!”

Unfortunately, the truth is that some men are still uncomfortable, and feel threatened, around women that may have equal or greater brainpower than himself.

But George is not afraid! He says it and he shows it.

Brainy women are ‘in vogue,’ and an ego that respects and support brainy women are ‘the new black’ for men. Thank you, George!
